Exam Builder question limit doubled

Major improvements made in Exam Builder

1. Question generation limit updated from 15 to 30

The limit applies to both Manual and Auto paper generation.

This has been our most requested change, with around 70% of users asking for it. We initially capped the limit at 15 due to server constraints, but we’ve now increased it to 30. We’re also working on optimizing the backend to improve generation speed.

2. Toggle to avoid previously generated questions

Toggle to avoid previously generated questions

The toggle is enabled by default. When active, the system ensures that the generated questions are unique and not repeated from previous generations.

3. Question numbers added to Question Papers and Marking Schemes

Suggested by one of our users. You can now check answers more easily, without the hassle of switching back and forth between papers.

4. Question difficulty rating moved to the marking scheme

Difficulty rating now displayed in the marking scheme

One of our users suggested solving the question first, without seeing whether it’s easy or tricky. We think this is a great approach—it lets users focus on solving the problem without second-guessing themselves based on the difficulty rating.

Minor changes

  • Direct downloading of QP and MS files instead of zip files.
  • Each generated file follows a unique logical naming convention that includes metadata such as Board, Subject, and Paper name.
